California Cities Cease Washing Cars During Drought

The State of California is facing one of the most severe droughts on record. In January 2014 Governor Brown issued a State of Emergency and directed state officials to take all necessary actions to prepare for drought conditions.

December 1, 2014 – Government Fleet recognized the cities of Malibu, Santa Monica, and  Burbank for agreeing to stop washing their fleet vehicles to help save water.  These cities have all joined the “Go Dirty for the Drought” campaign by conservation group Los Angeles Waterkeeper to raise awareness and conserve water.

Fleet manager and vehicle owners please be mindful of your water usage.
